Navigating the world of currencies, credit cards, and ATMs can be a daunting task. But fear not, fellow adventurer! Here’s a breakdown of how to manage your money like a pro while exploring the globe.
Cash or Card: The Eternal Dilemma
Truth be told, it’s usually best to have a mix of both. Cash is king in many places, especially for small purchases, tipping, and markets. But credit cards offer convenience, security, and are often essential for booking accomodation, trips, flights or anything else.
Get multiple travel credit cards:
Why should I get multiple credit cards? We always travel with at least 2 travel credit cards, so we are prepared and always have a back up. Imagine you’re in the middle of a City and the ATM swallows your card, it might be weekend and you’re unable to get the card back the same day. Maybe your wallet gets stolen or the bank experiences system outages. What ever can happen, make sure you always have a back up.
During our travels through Australia, Europe and Afrika we loved the travel cards of Wise and Revolut.
